ATRIUM hosted a media presentation on the attitudes of young Bulgarians
What are the attitudes of Bulgarians between the ages of 16 and 25, what are the perceptions of young people in our country? An interesting survey “Get to know the Nova generation in Bulgaria” gives answers, made by the Bulgarian office of the leading international research agency IPSOS, inspired by the new Huawei Nova 9 SE smartphone and new technologies. The entire Huawei Nova line presents models that appeal to active and modern young people, and the research focuses precisely on their priorities and perspectives.
The media event for the results of the research was held in ATRIUM Hall, and the data presented describe the thoughts, expectations, excitement and aspirations of the representatives of the nova generation in our country.
Opposing views
On many issues, judgments differ, for example regarding life challenges: 54% of the young people surveyed are not willing to take risks, while 46% would. The same is true for taking into consideration others’ opinions: 44 of the men in the study are ready to do so, while 56% of the women are not.
Regarding new technologies, 48% believe that they make life easier, and 52% – that they can violate personal freedom.
Opinions are opposite both on the issue of self-promotion and on compliance with generally accepted rules. In addition, 52 percent of respondents believe that there should be fewer rules and restrictions, while 48 percent believe that there should be more rules.
Visionaries with their own opinions
26% of the participants are of the opinion that the world is developing in a positive direction, over 55% of the respondents gave the opposite answer – the world is going for the worse, and 20% said that they could not make a judgement.
On the topic of the environment, opinions are divided – 47% believe that the environment should be a major issue to solve, while 53% think there are more important issues than it.
The research touches on more serious topics: traditions and values, self-care, problems of the future, money, happiness and success… “What is money for you?” For 44% of those asked, money is a way to protect the future of the family, for 41% – a way to enjoy the good things in life, 37 % perceive them as a fair reward for work. And in general, there is a consensus here – most of the respondents are convinced that money is a means, not an end.
It is obvious that the representatives of the Nova generation in Bulgaria are far-sighted individuals with their own opinions.
